Get ready, get set... Recycle!

It's back! The popular Tetra Pak Schools Recycle Right Challenge has returned as part of National Recycling Week 2012 (12-18 November), and includes lots of fun events and activities that help kids understand the environmental winnings of re-using and recycling.

This year, the Challenge incorporates a wide variety of recycling-themed activities, lesson plans, supporting resources, and event ideas that have been developed especially for Aussie schools and school kids. Each resource has been developed to make learning about recycling hands-on and enjoyable.

The inaugural Schools Recycle Right Challenge will operate over a six-week period from Monday 8 October to Friday 16 November 2012.

Throughout the six-week Challenge period, Planet Ark will be promoting recycling throughout the country in partnership with councils, businesses, communities, and the media.

We're encouraging every school across Australia to arrange one or more recycling-themed lessons, activities or events for their students during the Challenge period.

By registering to participate in the Schools Recycle Right Challenge, schools will gain access to a wide range of ready-to-use materials and resources, a competition just for schools, as well as early registration incentives. Many of the resources are only available to registered schools - and it's completely free. Activity coordinators will also receive updates, information and support materials to help organise events, including a Getting Started Guide.
